I really love my little DS. Having a hands-on sort of game is pretty neat. Being able to interact with a game on a very different level is very fun.
So far, the only games I have for the DS is Nintendogs, Ping Pals, and Zoo Keeper.
I like 'em all, although Ping Pals was a gift given to my by my pal because she wanted someone to play with her own Ping Pals.
I do have to say that Nintendogs takes advantage of the DS's capabilities. Then again, talking into your DS is best reserved to do that in your room. Usually, though one doesn't need to talk into their DS when playing Nintendogs. It's in the begining when you buy youself a new puppy you need to use it so your dog can know its name.
Also, the mircophone capability is good when needed to train your dog tricks, but I don't teach my dog tricks because I have a problem with pronouncing words.
I can't wait for Animal Crossing to come, that'll be fun to play. And Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney looks like a very fun video game too. Not many games out there where you can play as a lawyer.
My pal can't wait for Trauma Center: Under the Knife, I think because she's been watching a lot of Black Jack lately. The Doctor with the Hands of God. Its really interesting and I recommend Black Jack to everyone, except those who can't handle seeing blood or anything related to that. In the movies there will be blood and such.
In the tv show that I saw (that my pal had), it seems really dulled down from the medical gore stuff in the movie.
But I'm getting away from the DS. Then again, that is all I have to say for now.

Black Jack is awesome. A friend of mine is a huge Black Jack/Osamu Tezuka otaku. We went to the Tezuka Manga Museum in Takazaruka last December and they were having a big Black Jack exhibit in honor of the new TV series. We got through it pretty quickly though and had all day to kill before our bullet train left. So we spent the rest of the afternoon watching anime on these computers they had upstairs. The BJ is movie is pretty damn gory indeed! But somehow it also was amusing, especially with Sarah's MST3K-esque comments backing it up. ^_^

Heyaz! (New here, just registered 2 minutes ago...)
I got a DS too, and became immediately hooked because I also got Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow and Lunar: Dragon Song. I LOVE it! I've beat Castlevania 3 times now, and I still can't get enough...! ^.~
I haven't beat Lunar once yet because of the really stupid battle system they put in it. TT_TT The story so far has been really good though...
Anyway, I strongly recomend Castlevania, but it's rated teen because of the blood, violence, and female demons that are stark naked... O.o'

I heard Castelvania is the best game for DS so far, even including Mario Kart, which really surprises me because I am more than impressed by Mario Kart.
I also heard that the new Lunar is a disappointment, for the sole reason that its control system (ie moving hurts you apparently) is just no good. This hurts my heart to a great degree, because the Lunar series is one of my favorites of all time. I might pick it up after it gets a price cut, which can't be that far away.. just to follow the storyline if nothing else.

Castlevania for the DS was good. But I am ADDICTED to Mario Kart DS. Wi-Fi setup was a breeze. I play Mario Kart on-line way more often than I should. ;D I am playing it right now. My friends used to gather around the Super Nintendo and play Mario Kart for hours. One of them remembered that we used to have to split the screen. Now we get 2 SCREENS EACH. That's like 4 times better. Right? The next big game for the DS I think, will be Metroid.
