From the J-List mailing list:
"Japan's in a minor uproar over an incident in which a deranged man with a baseball bat started chasing police officers, who ran for their lives while cameras watched on. Then man then took over their police car and tried to start it before being overpowered and taken away. The comical image of police fleeing the man they're supposed to capture was very humiliating, and Prime Minister Koizumi criticized the police force openly, asking for a review of all training procedures."

Those kind of things... only in Japan.
Here, in Argentina, cops tend to face people with blunt objects to often and usually in great numbers. To many "pacific" demostration become riots in wich extreme political parties cause chaos and violence.
Good thing is that the country is now more estable and those incidents are becoming rare or at least they are truly pacific.
This is my first Message, excuse my english, great page.

"neh, all you gotta do is shoot the bastards lolz"
No chance in hell for that to happend. We now have a Pro Human Rights goberment. And too many Human Rights Groups.
Las month we had a BIG RIOT on a State Prison in one of our provinces, we saw TV images of the guards been tortured and cut with knives by some of the most dagerous criminal in the country. ALL the Human Rights Groups went to that province to protect the rights of the criminals.
In Brasil, the last time something like this happend, they sent the army to retake the prision by all means.
I apologize for this long reply, but this subject touch my nerves.

lol, I can see, but that is how we solve problems in my country. The Humans Rights groups here can help give the criminals their last rites.
