As of now, Ifurita's Anime Jukebox will be on hiatus due to general lack of interest in anything other than leeching. But then again, you knew that was coming. In the meantime, you can visit my friend's website El-Hazard Online. The website is, obviously, a comprehensive database of all that is El-Hazard. But we are also expanding it to cover other anime. Pages are planned for Key the Metal Idol, Azumanga Daioh, Kimagure Orange Road and more. See you there! EDIT: Also, the forum will remain open of course. For all six of you....

Hi My name is Lavitz and I;m new on your forum. I'm a fan of anime, especially obscure series like Orguss and Infinite Ryvius. The music of the latter is hard to find, so I could ask you to have an Infinite Ravi's update if the site hiatus ever ends.
Compliments on your site and all the effort you put into it by updating so regularly. It looks nice and comprehensible. I'm also amazed that you have a spell checker in the forum.
Question: what is leeching?

Hello Lavitz. THank you for your compliments on the website. Unfortunately, I do not have any music from Infinite Ryvius. However, if and when we come back up it wil be the first thing I post if I can track some down!
"Leeching" is a term generally applied to any file you are in the process of downloading from the internet but not yet sharing. Usually it's applied to people who grab files but don't share with others and/or participate in the online community that they're getting their files from!

Not surprised at the lack of interest in the forums. There are many anime web sites. What makes this site stand out? What makes it better than the others? The music. Ifurita's offered a great service in the form of fresh music, rotated monthly. Job well done there. Is a monthly rotation enough to draw people into the forums? Well, let me think out loud for a moment. Say that there is a loser -- let's call him Louie -- who vaccuums up anime music every weekend with no intention of returning the favor. He visits Ifurita's. Please click the link to visit our forums. Why would Louie click the link? What is his incentive? If memory serves correctly, the music appears right on the page, but the forums do not. This is one source of the problem. Louie would have to go out of his way to see the topic of the day. He doesn't care. (Don't expect him to.) But show Louie today's conversation topics, and he might have a thing or two to say. Put the (latest) discussions out front. Like ArsTechnica Journals arstechnica.com/journals.ars, or many popular blog formats. Then you are likely to see more participation. Does anyone feel similarly? Ifurita's is hosted on Angelfire and ProBoards. Combining those two might prove difficult. That is not a great stopping point in my book. I can help find a free answer. Everyone flame me for the cold, perhaps unwanted, perhaps misguided analysis. Someone say something. I want to see participation. Rest assured, I have enjoyed the site. I did not participate in many discussions, but enjoyed reading them. It wasn't until the last "call for participation" that I became a member.

thanks for your insightful post. We don't want Louie's anyways, unfortunately 99% of the people out there are exactly like that, so the whole forum thing is probably a waste of time.

Everyone flame me for the cold, perhaps unwanted, perhaps misguided analysis. Someone say something. I want to see participation. I don't think I could have stated the situation any more accurately myself. That's exactly what's happening here. But I for one have been a participant on several successful, long running discussion forums in the past. And none of them offered any other kind of service, but discussion. What can I say? It was an experiment, and apparently it failed.
