I hadn't seen any of it until about a week ago! Back in about 1998 or '99 I read most of the manga. I got the last two volumes about a year or so after that I think. I really enjoyed it, and it's one of my favorite manga. Rumiko Takahashi's work is always entertaining, no matter the subject.
Actually, I did see two episodes of the anime dubbed several years ago. The one with Kentaro's school sports festival and the one where Godai is working at a beer garden and the gang of Maison Ikkoku comes by his work and fucks with him or something. But now that Viz is finally releasing MI on DVD (like they've been promising for years), I'm getting to see the whole thing. 8 boxsets, 3 discs each, 4 eps per disc. ^^; Pretty gracious for cheap ass Viz. Pucci, I know there was a movie but there was also an OVA right?

In Otaku no Video, one guy in the interviews had a poster on his wall announcing the release of new OVAs of Urusei Yatsura and Maison Ikkoku.
If god damn motherfucking IE would let me load animeNfo.com I could tell you more.

Watching Macross agian for the first time in years can be quite refreshing. Never being much of a Gundam fan, I always thought the Macross series was better. War drama, romance and idol singers saving the day. How can you go wrong? So true Saucer man, so true. I like mecha anime, and for some strange reason, I never got into GUNDAM. No matter what series, movie, OVA, ect.. I tried to watch about Gundam, it never really hooked me. Guess it's not my cup of tea. One thing always puzzled me though. Hikaru and Misa ending up together in the TV series always made alot of sense to me, they're made for each other after all. But in the movie, since they kind of did things differently anyway, why not hook up Hikaru and Min Mei? She's a bit older and more mature after all, and not quite so fickle. Hikaru and Misa's relationship in the movie just seemed a bit more contrived. Oh well. I have to admit that this is my favorite love triangle in anime. In the TV, remember when Misa went to see Hikaru, and she found him with Min Mei?? A typical reaction would be that Misa would have burst in and tried to scold Hikaru about it......but her reaction was different. She felt so sad that she went running and tried to drown her sorrow in alcohol..... Even Claudia was surprised when she found her in the bar. Yo can't get any better in a serious romantic situation... I repeat, this is my favorite love triangle. Remember the episode when the Zentraedis lost the battle?? That was supposed to be the final episode, but fans started to voice their opinions, because they wanted a resolution to the love triangle; so that is why they made the final 9 episodes.. Speaking about the movie, I guess the producers forced Hikaru to be with Misa, because they didn't want to piss off the Hikaru-Misa fans. Really, I felt so sorry for Min Mei, it was very difficult.

I tried to watch about Gundam, it never really hooked me. Guess it's not my cup of tea. You know, I could never really get into Gundam either. Everyone goes on and on about it, but I thought Macross was alot better. Maybe it just has more of what I look for in that type of anime. I saw 0083 a long time ago, and it didn't really leave an impression on me. More recently I saw the movie Char's Counterattack. It was also OK, but not necessarily spectacular. And Gundam Wing............. I do however want to see some G-Gundam. Only because I heard it's so stupid that it's funny! Especially the horse who pilots a mecha. ;D I agree man, it certainly is a great love triangle. But as far as the movie goes, Misa and Hikaru already got together in the TV series! They should have done something different in the movie. Oh well, it's all good. The final battle scene - which is similar to the one in the TV series where Min Mei is singing as they go into battle - is friggin' awesome. This is what Gundam is lacking!

I'm currently working on finishing off a bunch of stuff since I've started several series' at once. I'm going to try to get all of the following completed over Christmas break. In the midst of watching Cowboy Bebop, I didn't see it earlier b/c I don't have Cartoon Network so I was finally able to get a copy. My friend forgot to burn me the eleventh episode though. At least most of the Bebop series is self-contained stories, but I would like eleven. Ayashi no Ceres. Finishing that off. Don't like it much. Why am I finishing it then, because it's anime that I own and it's a short series. Oh I also love Yuhi, I guess that's enough incentive to continue as well. XD Slayers. Need to finish off the last three episodes. It's an okay series but I expected it to be alot more stellar from the way that several reviews raved about it. Hana Yori Dango - Remarkably addictive. Old school romance and drama. I sometimes don't like every plot development, but I find the characters quite interesting. FLCL - for some reason I only watched the first two episodes this summer and didn't finish it off even though it's only 6 episodes long. Majorly screwed up but in the best possible way. Utena - Will finish 18-39, must complete. So good, finally got the rest... Naruto - I heart this series. One of the best of recent times. I'm still not far in it, which is why I will work on getting further in the series, only after accomplishing the feats of finishing other series'.

Which Slayers series are you watching? The first one? Next gets a lot better. Try is the best, IMHO.
Lately, I've seen Gundress. Mecha/Chara designs and general premise by Masamune Shirow. The film was upposedly "unfinished" but it seemed fairly complete to me. Nothing spectacular, but it was fun.
Also saw Dirty Pair: Project Eden. The original Dirty Pair is always entertaining! Lotsa chaos and action.
I'm now working on season two of Neo Ranga. I love this series because it switches up between dark seriousness, and slap-stick randomness so randomly. Sometimes it's hard to tell which they're striving for at a particular moment.
Also chipping away at Mahoro and Onegai Teacher (wish I had broadband when these things were on fansub ^^; ). Oh yeah, and Sakura Wars TV. It's interesting how they re-developed alot of the chara, but you'll hear no complaints from me. At least they cover more of the actual story than in the OVAs. ^^;

I just finished up Noir. I wish the ending was a bit more climatic and it was satisfying at least. Kirika owns us all.

I rented some anime this weekend:
Millenium Actress: I wasn't sure what to expect, since I wasn't terribly thrilled with Perfect Blue. I have to say that this is probably one of the best anime films, and one fo the best films in general I've ever seen. Simply amazing. A very funny and touching film. I like the way they took reality and film and wove them together along with the characters. I'll definitely be buying this one on DVD.
Read or Die OVA: This was pretty good. I don't think it's really something to rave about (like some people do). But it was worth my time. I do feel they kinda crammed too much into 3 episodes though. I'm hoping I'll find the TV to be even better.
Argentosoma: I was kind of miffed that, after 10 episodes I realized "I spent the last 4+ hours on this?!" Admittedly, the animation in general was very well done. Howver, the fight scenes were rather boring and contrived. And the story was pretty weak. "Let's fight the alien with their own technology! Hey, they're still kicking our ass!" Granted, that's not all there is to the story. There is some chara development, but it all ends up being rather dull and uninteresting. And I've heard people rave about how great this series is? *SHRUGAGE*

I'm hoping I'll find the TV to be even better. I'm enjoying the TV series better than the OVA, so you won't regret checking it out. It has a slower pace than the OVA IMHO. Here is my update: 1. Finished FMP: Fumoffu. I can't count the times I almost died of lack of air because of all the laughing. I hope they make more. 2. Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito. This is an anime based from a hentai game. The story isn't that clear and there is alot of shojou ai elements tossed around on this one. I'll just wanna watch the ending just to see the heroine get the girl? 3. Kimi_ga_Nozomu_Eien. I'm in a romantic mood, so I wanted to check this one. At first I was like "Oh no, another romantic anime with high school kids", but after episode 3, this anime turns into a tragic & angst love story!! I can't wait to watch the next episode!! BTW, this is another anime based from a hentai game.

Wow can't remember the last time I posted here ^^;;; Anyways here is what I'm watching Full Metal Alchemist - Little bit behind the fansubs, but what I have watched of this show has been great. I really liked the first two but the backstory episodes were even better. Great characters and an interesting story. This is currently the show I'm using to fill the void since Scrapped Princess ended. Chrno Crusade - I went in with high expectations and my expectations were not only met but they were surpassed. Once again, 2 treally good first episodes, but 3-4 (a 2 part episode) was even better. Think of Hellsing with nuns . Da Capo - Based on a hentai game (seems to be getting more common), this anime is a typical romantic comedy. While its not the greatest show on the market, it is fun to watch and has superp animation. One interesting/weird thing about this one is that the episodes are 18 minutes in length. After doing some digging I found out that this is because each episode airs with a music video.

Finally got Spirit of Wonder on DVD! Although I'm wondering if it's the same one that AnimEigo released long ago? There seems to be alot of CG and some scenes I've seen before weren't in it. Anyway, it was great. Four OVAs on one disc! Also rented Animatrix. I'm glad I rented it first I mean, it was OK. But nothing spectacular. The Game was great, as is just about anything Madhouse is involved with.

Da Capo - Based on a hentai game (seems to be getting more common) Who would have thought? Hentai games good source for anime material?? ...but Kiminozo has started to become one of the GREATEST love stories I've ever seen. O.K., I know this is another story of a guy who has to choose from a hoard of women (actually, the anime focuses on just two), but the way they presented this, is just pure angst! (although I hate the main character and hope he dies). I'm just waiting for the last episode to come out (14), and its killing me. I never felt this depressed for an anime since watching SAIKANO, and this is worthy of checking it out. THE WAITING IS KILLING ME!!
