yes, I totally agree with j00r assessment of Seikai Trilogy. It was given in the matter a true space opera should be. THE DIALOGUE!!! was so awesome. I nearly died when Lafiel and Jinto were having dinner with that captain lady and Jinto made the subtle comment about the cat. The manga trades are pretty good, only 3 of them so easy to attain.
The new Banner anime that is in the works is sure to be amazing....I think its coming out in the fall.

I nearly died when Lafiel and Jinto were having dinner with that captain lady and Jinto made the subtle comment about the cat. The manga trades are pretty good, only 3 of them so easy to attain. I loved that running gag! Lafiel was hilarious, the way she was so practical and serious all the time (that kind of character always cracks me up). And the other Abh ch1x0r on board Basroil and their love triangle ("I'll stop calling you 'boy' when you can handle your little love triangle without getting your cat involved"). I also was highly amused by the relationship between Prince Abriel and his Chief of Staff. The way he kept inquiring as to what her relationship was to the Bebaus twins (that I can understand, from his perspective) and she would get pissed. And then, Admiral Spoor shows up on the videophone (m41n 5cr33n 7urn 0n!) in her nightgown (!!!!) and he's all chatting her up. So the CoS gets super pissed/jealous. That was totally awesome. Gawd, I love that series. Just enough romance, but not too much. Plenty of military drama. And enough comedy relief to satisfy, yet keep things serious. w00t?! Are j00 serious? I am so out of the loop. :: pops like sixteen boners ::

Finished Gunparade March. It was OK (yeah, just "OK"). Some interesting ideas here, but nothing really original. I wouldn't say I wasted time watching it, but it wasn't really worth backing up on CD either. It's interesting how the focus shifts from fighting the aliens to romantic conflict after a couple of episodes. Things worked out nicely. I did enjoy watching it. But, if I had to recommend it I'd recommend watching something else unless you really have nothing else to watch.
Next up, Oh My Goddess TV....

I just watched Amaenaide Yo! and Shuffle. Shuffle is pretty interesting and Amaenaide Yo! is pure fanservice...dont think anyone is subbing Amaenaide Yo! anymore though. I know froth bite cancelled it and noone else seems to be releasing anything.

I watched Ah My Goddess TV. I was impressed. I was a little wary, after the debacle that was Tenchi Muyo OVA 3. But AIC proved that they can still knock it out. I like the way the series followed the general pace and flow on the manga, but with a slightly new and original version (yet not really a new or alternate twist to the story... different yet not really). It was definitely worth waiting ten years for!
I also watched the movie Windaria. An old school classic. It definitely moves ones soul to see such fine, hand drawn theatrical anime again. Gawd, they just don't make 'em like they used to. It's a shame that feature length anime in general is such a rarity these days.

yeah gotta agree with you on the topic of Ah My Goddess TV. Many people weren't satisfied with it because they thought it was a continuation of the OAV. Um, some people are retarded.... Go read the manga you dorks!
OMG, Saucer did j00 watch the new Banner of the stars OAV yet?

Go read the manga you dorks! I don't understand how all these people came to that conclusion. The OVA clearly has an ending (albeit, a rushed one). Was the movie a continuation of the OVA? Noooooooooo...... Not yet, gomen. ^^; I've had alot going on at work lately (as you can see above, I started my reply by hitting modify instead of quote baka!) I did finally restart/finish FLCL. It didn't seem nearly as mind-boggling as it did when I first started it 4 years ago. Maybe everything I've seen since then has desensitized me? ^^; It was OK. But a "typical Gainax ending" as D'Art would call it. ^^;

I watched Gunslinger Girl. Sad, but a good series overall. It's interesting, the way they focus on character development. Everything else sort of takes a backseat, even the plot. Makes me wonder if there's a manga or something? The off-the-hook gunfights were amusing in a way though. I love Triela and her shotgun with a bayonet attached. ^^; urb4n c0mb47!
