Is it just me, or for someone to have a successful date, the amusement park is a must place to go?? Exactly! Girls find the amusement park romantic, especially the ferris wheel at night. Speaking of, notice how many important and dramatic events in a relationship take place on the ferris wheel? haha , totally or it just happens to be spring time and a festival is happening nearby... Point for Pucci! I forgot about the matsuri episode convention.

What is it with english dubbers? I mean, can't they implement good accents in their dubbs? . . . . . For example, why I loved Asuka from Evangelion? It's because of her spanish dubber; she had a great german accent, and she sounded lovely when she bitched & scolded Shinji.... Ah, those were the days... Oh, and another thing, why do they implement accents were they are NOT needed? . . . . . . Today, by chance, I watched Shaman King on FOX (btw, interesting anime). There is this character called Len, and his sister. They are supposed to be chinese. They have mentioned that they come from China. HECK; THEY EVEN WEAR TRADITIONAL chinese clothes.... So I wonder: Why the hell do they both have british accents?

LOL! I think it's safe to say that english dubbing is probably the worst general example of foreign-language dubbing of anime. My apologies to the dubbies, but it's a fact. I've never heard anyone complain about spanish dubs!
Accents...... different dialects in Japanese dialog are used for various reasons. Sometimes for humor, but usually to simply remind viewers of which region of Japan the chara is from. [another reason why I advocate watching anime in Japanese, get the jokes and cultural references right the first time!] In dubs, people from Osaka are given southern accents. People from Kyoto are sometimes given southern or british accents. I think it's stupid myself. If you're watching it dubbed, you've already lost all of the nuances of Japanese society and social hierarchy anyway.
