Here's a thread for non-Bit Torrent/fansub anime. Ya know, commercial. ^_^; Let's see. I just saw Neo Ranga disc 3. Another great, underrated series. I was kinda of suprised though, I didn't know that Neo Ranga had 2 season. Suddenly they go "This is the last episode..." ::looks at series box with space for three more discs:: ; Also saw Strange Love which was pretty ecchi, but funny. Not exactly hentai. Just kinda ecchi like a U-jin series. The two female leads were SO bad at acting. Otherwise, the series was populated by famous seiyuu. It's funny that they wanted their names withheld, since their voices are easily recognizable anyway. ^^;

I need to get Neo-Ranga 4 this week, would of gotten it at Otakon but I was out of money. Took awhle for me to get into this series but I have really enjoyed it after I did.
Also nearing the conclusion of my all-time favorite anime, CCS. Only two more TV disca and one movie to go. Gonna be so sad when I finish this one.
Other shows I've been watching: Rah-Xephon Noir (again) Full Metal Panic GTO and many others I'm forgetting
And everyone should watch Junkers Come Here. It is such an amazing movie. Highly enjoyable with an amazing story and great characters. Really gotta buy this one when I get some money.

I gotta get vol.4 of Neo Ranga soon, but maybe not until next month. Since I already spent my anime allotment for this month. I started watching it on fansubs, but I didn't get to watch it because it got licensed (nevee fails to happen to me). But I got the nice series box, which is hella sweet. I like how Neo Ranga is both silly and serious at the same time, with alot of weird things going on behind the scenes. Great series!
Coolrush, are they releasing individual volumes of KOR now? I believe the OVAs and movie #1 should be coming out soon, if you believe what AnimEigo says. ^^; How is Sakara Wars TV? I picked up the first couple of volumes but haven't seen them yet. I loved the OVAs. Especially the second series, the way they based them on old Japanese films! I'm looking forward to more SW Paris, too.

I believe the OVAs and movie #1 should be coming out soon, if you believe what AnimEigo says. ^^; They are releasing KOR ( and Youre under arrest) to stores but to date ive only seen 2 KOR DVDs available at one Suncoast store and none of YUA so Im thinking their distribution is crap. I got vol 1 of KOR at a anime store ( paid full price for it too..oi) and vol 2 and 3 online and only is where Im gonna get the rest. I think Sakura Wars is good but it has more of a dark and serious tone to it then any of the OVAs so you might be dissapointed if you come in thinking itll be the same as the OVAs.

I really liked how the series ended, *sniff* *sniff*. BTW, is it already available on DVD the two CCS movies? I haven't seen the first one, but the second one rocks!! It has like a good ending for the story. In my case, due to serious complications, I will finally receive the three lasts volumes of Excel Saga. DAmn! IT surely has taken that long!! ;D

I can never find what I need in stores. Plus, it's a habit from the VHS days I guess, when stores rarely carried subbed tapes. Dark = good. ^_^ I here some of the characters are sort of re-characterized, too. In my case, due to serious complications, I will finally receive the three lasts volumes of Excel Saga. DAmn! IT surely has taken that long!! Heh heh, I'd say it was worth the wait. Those last three volumes are pretty whacky. Especially #6. ^^;;;

Yata! Just received them yesterday! Watched volume 4, and it has gotten hilarious!! You liked the lesbian android episode, didn't you. ;D Last night I saw the second volume of Gatekeepers 21. It's alot darker than the TV series, but I enjoyed it. The action is more intense and the invaders are like way more freaky. They seem almost mechanical. It would have been nicer if the series were a little longer than 6 episodes. Then maybe they would have explained more what happened to the original gang in the future.

You liked the lesbian android episode, didn't you. ;D ::Whipes blood out of nose:: What you talking about? ;D Already finished Excel...last volume..... awesome. I was thinking about episode 26, about how everybody said it was fucked up....they were right. "Sorry dear, big boobs & body hair turn me off." <---- -__-; I am 99% positive that in episode 24, the battle between Nabeshin & The Man, it was somewhat a parody of Saint Seiya. Have to be shure.

What do you get when you have a show about a cop who works under the guise of the "Public Safety Office" and gets the damnedest jobs, in a town where your partner is a huge android and android's are illegal. THrow werewolves into the mix and you got Heat Guy J. This is my new favorite anime. The Escaflowne chara design lends a really weird angle to it. The animation is areally slick, theatrical quality and letterbox format. Even the CG was well rendered and sparringly used. J is cool because, unlike most anime android, he actually acts like a machine. Yet, at the same time, he still has some human personality and emotion. He's always lecturing Daisuke about manhood (shades of Harlock!). I'd recommend it to anyone who liked Cowboy Bebop.
ADV picked up a nice little OVA (actually, I think it may have been a TV special) called The Samurai, from 1987. Whacky martial arts and battle of the sexes high jinks, 80s style! Chara design smacked of KOR. A very refreshing little anime. Doesn't ask too much of you, yet offers something at the same time.
