Shizu is the REAL ULTIMATE POWER. She's so sweet, that I want to crap my pants.
In other news, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is the greatest anime series of all time (no wait, this week it's........). I still like the movie alot. But, unlike the movie, the TV series is much closer to the manga. It's more humorous and the chara are much looser. Another interesting thing is, unlike most TV anime that are done in widescreen (which seems to be the trend these days). GitS has alot of very "cinematic" camera angles. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm watching a TV series. The CG is also very well done, for the most part. There are some parts that are cheesy, like the cars. But with most of the CG scenes, you hardly notice that it's CG. It's not just the cell-shading, the movement is very cel-like. The Scorpian Tank thing in episode 3 is just amazing. And speaking of tanks, the Tachikoma also figure alot in the series (unlike the movie). They're all "female" and have cute little voices and get excited and jump around whenever something good happens. And last but not least.... something funny I noticed. It seems like almost every scene, they punctuate the conversation by jumping in a car and taking off with a sqeal of tires. Or, if they're already in a car, they just start driving like shit. Well OK, not every scene. But it happens alot, and I swear they're doing it on purpose. A good mix of comedy, drama and action, just like Shirow-sensei's manga!
And, I hear that it may be debuting on Adult Swim early this coming year! ::breaks down sobbing::

Here's what I saw lately:
Boogiepop & Friends: The Boogiepop Phantom live-action movie. It was pretty damn weird. I enjoyed it though, didn't make a whole lot more sense than the TV series, but the similarities made it easier to follow. Makes me want to go back and watch the TV series again.
Macross Zero 3: We finally got the long awaited episode 3! Though the announcement at the end that said episode 4 wasn't coming until "Spring 2004" was a little disheartening. It was a good episode that left me wanting more. It's been so long since the last one that I kind of lost track of what was going on. It's a very interesting entry into the Macross universe though.
Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nocchi Guu Deluxe: More screwed up. ^^; The cockroach episode really was great. What's funny about this series is how much the imply sex, but never really show it or talk about it much. The last OVA FInale is supposed to be coing out this month.

I just watched something I had sitting on my HD for months, and never knew how ecchi it was! Momoiro Sisters is a gag/shock/ecchi anime like Ebichu. It's not as fucked as Ebichu in some ways, and in some ways it's worse because it largely involves High School students. There are 24 little 5-minute episodes about two sisters, Momoko a High School senior and Sakura who works as an OL. The episodes are about sex, dating, dieting, doujinshi and other random stuff the happens around them and their friends. It's very funny and wrong. And hell, you can watch the whole series in 2 hours!
I also finished Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. It was good, but the sloppy translation on the last 4 episodes made it kind of confusing once things started really rolling. If I'm not mistaken, they're working on a second season now as we speak?

Millie's stupidity Mint's evilness & cosplay loving Forte's antics Ranpha's wackiness Vanilla's rituals? Nomad's obsesiveness for Vanilla.....LOL!
Season 2 is great and 3 is not that far!
MY favorite episode of 2 is were they ate the Lost Technology Chestnuts & in 3..... ARIGATOU; ARIGATOU, ARIGATOU..... HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!

It's really weird the way Mint starts out as the youngest but wisest chara. And some how devolves into this being of pure evil. ^^;

Momoiro Sisters r00lz! Weapon, hurry and D/L it j00 need to see it! LOL
I finished Psychic Academy tonight. It was OK. The voice acting was pretty top-notch. However, the animation left a bit to be desired. In fact, it was almost hentai-bad. The writing was OK, just another love triangle with a deeper plot that doesn't really get developed. It's not an unpleasant way to kill 4 hours or so though. The chara design is pretty good. Lots of big breasts getting "accidentally" grabbed every 30 seconds or so. ^.^;

Gotta have Jubei-chan NOW!! ;D Looking at this site: www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/anime/j2/, we see that Konoisuke is back!! YAY! BTW, just started watching Momoiro Sisters....ha ha ha weird. Can someone explain me why was Momoko worried that the love letter she received was from a girl? Why is this said? Is it normal for girls to idolize sempais who are beautiful & fall in love with them? Is this another inside joke I don't get? ;D

-_-; Isn't he supposed to have "ascended to heaven?" Middle School and High School girls often get crushes on a female classmate or sempai. This is mainly because they idolize the person and see them as an ideal mate, but wouldn't necessarily want to date them. This is apparently very common behavior for teenage girls in Japan. Parents don't really trip out about it, and actually encourage it. They feel safer with their daughter getting her first crush on another girl, rather than some guy with possibly questionable intentions. A common scenario is a girl getting a crush on a Takazaruka actress who specializes in playing male roles (speaking of, did you know that Himura Kenshin's seiyuu, Mayo Suzukaze was a Takazaruka actress who specialized in male roles?). So, to answer your question Weapon, Momoko is probably nervous about a girl having a crush on her. A girl who actually is a lesbians may try to take it to the next level, like in Kimagure Orange Road (right Pucci?). ;D Momoiro Sisters is just full of random, ecchi humor like that. Hey Pucci, is Narutaru really as bad as they say it is? And, how's Kimi ga Nozomo Eien BTW? I believe that was voted #1 anime of all time at some animenfo.com poll? I'm wondering if the hype is valid?
